Introduction

This blog is my newest endeavor! The idea was inspired by the road trip across the U.S. that my husband and I are embarking on. For the next four months I will be writing about our adventures on the road, which includes trying to complete the second draft of my book in time for the Willamette Writer’s Conference in Portland, Oregon the beginning of August. But it’s not a mere travel blog. It’s really a life blog—a travel, writing, baking, gardening, hiking, spiritual discovering, everything but the kitchen sink blog. It’s my unwritten life, imagined…

To set the stage, I should provide some context for the initial installments of my story. I’m making the aforementioned road trip with my husband Dave, three dogs, Kenai (6 yrs.), Zoe (4 yrs.), and Maggie (1 yr. as of March 18th), and a fifth-wheel trailer! And as already stated, I’m doing this while working on the second draft of my first novel. This should be quite interesting! I hope you’ll join me and see where the journey takes us.
